It’s Christmas Eve and folks are running around sorting out last minute shopping and wrapping presents, making sure everything’s ready for the big day. We’ve even got a Christmas cake this year, made by the fabulous Cake Cucina … not keen on fruit cake, so we asked for coffee and walnut – looks wonderful!

Just want to thank all of our wonderful clients (past and present) for all your support, and wish you all a very Happy Christmas and New Year!

Ian.

It happens at this time of year – everyone trying to “outdo” everyone else in the Christmas decoration stakes …… flashing lights and dangling icicles, Santas climbing walls and chimneys, “Santa stop here” signs in the garden, and lots more. And it’s no different when it comes to that perennial favourite ….. the Christmas Tree! This year I decided that I’d haul ours out into the garden for an impromptu photoshoot in the snow – think it looks OK, but I’m not sure whether it’s going to grow very much in this weather!! Are there any gardening experts out there who could give me some advice?

:)

Woke up this morning expecting to be shooting my final portrait session before Christmas, but the weather changed my plans! It’s not often that the weather beats me, but it wasn’t safe for my clients to make their way in the snow – a real shame as it would have made for some fantastic fun images, but that’s one of the challenges of shooting at this time of year. Oh well, it meant I could settle down in the office with a steamy cappuccino and catch up on some editing from recent shoots!

Had a great shoot this morning with Chris and Anne down at Studland Beach, followed by a warming Cappuccino! Anne won the shoot in a competition I ran at the BIC Lifestyle show a while ago, and we’ve been waiting ages for the Sandbanks Ferry to come back into service!

Luckily, it wasn’t too cold, and the sea was calm and still. They’re a lovely couple, and we had a fun time shooting on the sand dunes and around the beach huts – I’ll post a few photos after they’ve seen them.

Studland would be a great location for wedding photographs, so if any Brides are interested …… just let me know!

A wonderful photo shoot today with Dan and Claire down at Sandbanks – a really lovely day, crisp and cold, and a fantastic couple! Claire was a real trooper bearing in mind the water was so cold, and I think her feet should have thawed out by now! :)

I was supposed to be at a seminar about web-marketing today, but the weather put paid to that! Still, it gave me some time to spend on “me”, and what better way than to get out in the snow and take a few pictures?

I must admit that I wasn’t too disappointed – choosing between getting out and taking photographs or sitting listening someone talking about Google ad-words and pay-per-click advertising ….. it’s a no-brainer! All I need now is a winter wedding where the bride doesn’t mind getting cold for her wedding photographs in the snow!
