My portrait sessions are available for children and adults, plus your pets – cats, dogs, even horses!
Do you have a studio?
I don’t work out of a studio as I think they can be really intimidating and artificial, so I prefer to work with my clients on location – this can either be in the great outdoors (the world’s largest studio!) in a place that’s very special to you, or in the comfort of your own home. I find that babies are best at home, so that you have everything you need in the event of an emergency! Anyway, we’ll discuss the options before the shoot and work out the best location.
What do we wear?
It’s entirely up to you – something that you’ll be comfortable and relaxed in …. just be yourself! One word of caution if you think you’ll want the images in colour – try to keep the range as small as possible so that colours don’t clash. It’s great to have a splash of colour, but it’s a bit daunting when the image has a kaleidoscope of colours all competing for attention!
What about the weather?
The one thing about the British weather is that we can’t predict it, so if it’s really bad we can postpone and shoot at another convenient time. That said, it’s perfectly feasible to get some cracking shots in rainy conditions, but the choice will be yours to make.
How long does it take?
Most sessions will last around 60-90 minutes (less if the children get bored!) – this gives you time to relax in front of the camera and to get comfortable working with me. It’s often the case that the best photos are taken 15-20 minutes into the session.
How do we view our images?
If you’re within 15 miles of Bournemouth I’ll arrange to meet you at your home for a private viewing. You’ll also have an online gallery on my website (protected by a password) so that you can view the images online – you can share this password with anyone you choose.
How much does it cost?
The session fee is £125, payable at the time of booking. Prints are extra and are payable in advance, as are canvases & albums.
